Bio:

A highly decorated infielder with elite accomplishments at every level, Ulisses Ferraz is a St. Peter’s Prep graduate and standout shortstop who earned 3× All-County and All-State honors during a dominant high school career. A 4-year varsity starter and team captain, he was the heart of both the lineup and the infield—known for his leadership, glove work, and clutch play on both sides of the ball.

Ferraz continued his success at County College of Morris, where he became the Student-Athlete of the Year (2024) and served as the everyday shortstop. His performance earned him a spot at Rutgers–Newark, where he transitioned seamlessly to third base and continued to lead with professionalism and poise.

Known for his high baseball IQ, reliable glove, and disciplined bat, Ferraz now brings his energy and next-level baseball knowledge to coaching. He is dedicated to developing the next generation of players with the same intensity and passion that defined his own career.

Patrick Cuccurullo

Founder & 11U Head Coach

Bio:
A dominant left-handed pitcher and First Team All-Union County selection, Patrick Cuccurullo helped lead Scotch Plains to a Union County Tournament championship before moving on to a standout collegiate career at Montclair State University.

Across five seasons, Cuccurullo established himself as one of the top left-handed pitchers in Montclair history, ranking:

  • 5th all-time in strikeouts (249)

  • Top 8 all-time with 20 career wins

  • 7th all-time in innings pitched (247)

His elite 2022 season featured 95 strikeouts in 77 innings, earning him NJAC All-Conference and All-Region honors. He also entered the year on the Division III Baseball Player Watch List, recognized as one of the top players in the country.

Cuccurullo now brings that same intensity, command, and high-level baseball IQ to the coaching world—developing pitchers with a focus on mechanics, confidence, and competing under pressure.

A highly ranked New Jersey prospect, #18 overall (Perfect Game, Class of 2023), Daniel Ciprian is a St. John’s University commit with elite two-way tools. A standout shortstop and outfielder, Ciprian has been a multi-year varsity starter and consistent performer at Perfect Game showcases.

Known for his arm strength, speed, and advanced hitting approach, he is one of the most complete players in his class. Ciprian brings Division I-level knowledge, energy, and professionalism to the coaching staff, helping young players develop with the same focus and drive that propelled his own success.

Daniel Ciprian

Bio:
Tim Wright built an impressive collegiate career with stops at RVCC, County College of Morris, and Kean University—where he became best known for his offensive production. A disciplined hitter with gap-to-gap power, Tim consistently delivered in high-leverage moments and provided a steady, dangerous presence in the middle of every lineup.

While he spent most of his career in the outfield, his biggest value came through the bat—supported by strong hitting mechanics, pitch recognition, and a deep understanding of the strike zone. Tim’s laid-back but confident coaching style helps players learn comfortably while refining their offensive skill sets. His combination of technical knowledge and communication makes him a major asset to developing hitters.

Bio:
A product of Springfield, NJ, Justin Teixeira made an immediate impact at Kean University—the nationally recognized Division III powerhouse—where he became a consistent starter from his freshman year onward.

Justin is known for his disciplined, consistent approach at the plate, combining strong bat control with power to all fields. A natural leader and reliable run producer, he has played multiple positions defensively but is best known for his offensive presence and advanced baseball IQ.

With a calm, player-first coaching style, Justin excels at teaching hitting mechanics, approach, and mental preparation. His experience and technical skill make him an exceptional instructor for players aiming to elevate their offensive game.

Bio:
A multi-year varsity athlete out of Union, NJ, Jayden Miller is a County College of Morris alumnus and Garden State Athletic Conference champion. He played multiple positions—third base, first base, and catcher—giving him a versatile understanding of the game.

Jayden now works as an EMT on the Westfield Rescue Squad, where situational management and critical decision-making sharpened his ability to stay calm and lead under pressure. These traits translate directly to coaching, helping him guide young players with discipline, poise, and confidence.

Matt L’Hommedieu

Hometown: Dumont, NJ

Bio:
Known for his work ethic, discipline, and presence on the mound, Matt L’Hommedieu was a standout 3-year varsity player at Bergen Catholic before moving on to pitch at Rutgers–Newark. Set to graduate in 2026 with a double major in History and Criminal Justice, Matt is respected for both his on-field performance and leadership.

He has trained with top development programs including Dr. Nick Serio and the Velo University staff in White Plains, NY, along with elite pitching coach Seth Lintz out of Arizona. His training background gives him deep expertise in biomechanics, metrics, sequencing, strength development, and the mental side of the game.

What sets Matt apart is his approach—he shows up ready to teach, ready to connect, and ready to elevate every player around him. His technical knowledge, demeanor, and ability to communicate complex concepts make him one of the most valuable instructors for athletes of all ages.

Ryan Rzepinski

A standout talent from Bayonne, New Jersey, Ryan Rzepinski is an All-American pitcher, former Pitcher of the Year, and was ranked among the top JUCO MLB Draft prospects during his playing career. His competitive background, high-level experience, and deep understanding of pitching mechanics allow him to guide athletes with precision and purpose. Known for his energy, detail-oriented coaching style, and commitment to helping players get better every day, Ryan brings a strong developmental presence to the program.

Chris Hopf Jr.

Bio:

Chris Hopf Jr. is a dedicated student-athlete at Caldwell University, known for his discipline, leadership, and team-first mentality. Chris approaches every challenge with focus, professionalism, and a commitment to doing things the right way—on and off the field. His work ethic, preparation, and willingness to support his teammates make him a natural leader and a strong example for younger athletes.

Driven by a passion for improvement, Chris brings energy and accountability to the program, helping players understand what it takes to grow physically, mentally, and competitively. He represents the values of the Northeast Diamonds with pride, integrity, and a mindset centered on constant development.

Elvin Espinal

Hometown: Union, NJ

Catching Coach.

Bio

Elvin Espinal is a senior at Roger Williams University and a dedicated student-athlete with a strong baseball background. He was a three-year varsity starter at Union High School, where he developed into a reliable leader and consistent performer on the field. As a catcher, he takes pride in his defensive strength, especially using his strong throwing arm, game awareness, and ability to control the pace of play behind the plate. Offensively, he’s a smart, disciplined hitter who focuses on making quality contact, understanding situations, and producing in key moments. He brings a strong work ethic, toughness, and a team-first mindset.

Jason Basilicata

Hometown: Bayville, NJ

Bio

Jason Basilicata is a right-handed pitcher from Bayville, New Jersey, currently competing for Kean University. He began his collegiate career at St. Thomas Aquinas College as a freshman before transferring to Kean, where he has become one of the most effective relief arms in Division III baseball.  

A standout performer out of Donovan Catholic High School, Jason made an immediate impact for the Cougars. During his sophomore season, he posted a 2.18 ERA with a 4–2 record, recorded 9 saves, and struck out 48 batters over 45⅓ innings in 21 appearances.  

Jason’s excellence in relief earned him D3Baseball.com Fourth Team All-America honors, First Team All-Region recognition, and he was named NJAC Fireman of the Year — a testament to his dominance in late-game situations. Most recently, he was also honored as a D3Baseball.com Preseason All-American, becoming the first player in Kean baseball history to receive that distinction.  

Known for his competitive spirit, consistency, and ability to shut down opponents in high-leverage innings, Jason continues to represent Kean with leadership and dedication to his craft.

Ryan Glatz

Hometown: New Providence, NJ

Bio

Ryan Glatz developed as a dependable two-way contributor at New Providence High School, playing first base while also serving as a pitcher. His high school experience gave him a strong foundation in infield defense, pitching mechanics, and overall game awareness, allowing him to understand the game from multiple angles.

Ryan went on to attend Fairleigh Dickinson University–Florham, where he continued to deepen his knowledge of baseball with a particular emphasis on pitching development, fielding fundamentals, and game preparation. His background enables him to teach both the technical and mental aspects of pitching and defense, with a focus on consistency, mechanics, and situational execution.

Nick Sellitti

Bio

Nick is known for his competitive drive that fueled his success at youth, high school and college levels, Nick Sellitti was a standout player for Top 10 NJ State Ranked Ridge High School before becoming a starting outfielder for County College of Morris, his freshman season. Nick is currently a student-athlete at Raritan Valley Community College, quickly becoming a valued member of their baseball team.

Nick was a utility player with experience at all positions until transitioning to outfield in high school to utilize his speed. Nick is also a talented hitter, with an eye for recognizing pitches and the power and ability to drive the ball to all sections of the field.

Nick brings passion and enthusiasm for the game to his coaching, focusing on teaching fundamentals, fostering teamwork, mentoring, role modeling, encouraging mental fortitude, and building confidence in every young player. Nick employs a patient, encouraging approach, believing that success in baseball comes from practice, discipline, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.
